My work with Hems in a Hurry has been exceptional. I bought a dress in Chicago on a trip for my commitment ceremony that was nearly perfect but needed some support through the bust area. She was able to add boning, bring the neckline up, all while working with the cutouts that were covered with applique. She added a 5 point bustle that beautifully showcased all the applique on the train. Even little details like making the hanging loops removable. She was a delightfully chatty, positive, and professional person. She was accepting of my LGTBQ+ identity and excited to see our event plans.

We went to Hems In A Hurry yesterday to have my daughter’s prom dress altered and were very happy with the service. The dress was quite difficult to work with as it was several sizes too big, very heavy and had a lot of piping detailing, but she handled it with confidence and care. Pam was incredibly kind and attentive and clearly knew what she was doing. She also made great suggestions that not only solved the fitting issues but actually made the dress even more beautiful. We felt very comfortable trusting her with such an important piece. We would definitely recommend her and return again in the future.

Needed to have my mother of the bride dress altered. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure if it would be possible but was assured it could be done . To my surprise when I tried it on after the alteration, it fit like a glove and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I would 100% recommend!!!
